Heifetz Rubato: Virtual Concert Hall

In music, as in life, there is no absolute rhythm or tempo. Social distancing, time apart from those we care about, and a pause on the social experiences we take for granted may have felt like a slowing of time, and though we don’t have a manuscript to indicate precisely how or when to pick up the tempo again, we are proud to continue offer access to our exceptional performers though Heifetz Rubato: The Virtual Concert Hall. Anyone who’s ever attended a Heifetz concert knows what a dynamic, visceral connection they create between performer and audience. This summer, while we resume in-person concerts throughout the Shenandoah Valley, the energy, excitement, and passion of a Heifetz concert will still be just a click away on your phone, tablet, computer, or even your big-screen TV!
Line-Up and Programming
Starting in Summer 2020, Rubato featured a full slate of mesmerizing music-making, including brand-new performances by our #Heifetz2020 Virtual Institute students, produced through a sophisticated collaborative multi-track recording process developed by our production and artistic staff. Our current 2021 Season will feature live streams of nearly every concert, along with a selection of online-only events featuring our students from around the globe who are attending the summer program virtually. You’ll also get the chance to view highlights from recent Heifetz summers, as well as never-before-seen archival footage from the Heifetz stage stretching back over two decades, plus artist interviews, commentary, and special “watch parties” where you will get to interact with students, alums, faculty, and special guests as the concerts unfold. Concerts will livestream on our YouTube and Facebook channels.
