Happy Birthday Beethoven!

The Beethoven Experience Marathon Begins....

Today we celebrate the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s birth on December 16, 1770 with a day-long celebration, performance, and discussion of the complete cycle of the German master’s string quartets by the Borromeo Quartet, the Heifetz Institute’s Ensemble in Residence, acclaimed by the Boston Globe for their “edge of the seat performances.”
We will present all eleven programs from our Beethoven Experience series featuring the Borromeos performing these timeless works across several legendary venues (including right here in Staunton at the American Shakespeare Center), as well as new performances recently prepared exclusively for this event.
The full day marathon begins at 8:00am (EST) and culminates with a live interactive discussion with the musicians themselves at 9:00pm (EST). The entire broadcast will then repeat starting at 10:00pm.
Take a look at the full schedule below to see when your favorite pieces will be performed, and tune in to the entire series on our websiteYouTube Channel, Facebook page, or the Violin Channel!
