Welcome to a September To Remember at the Heifetz Institute! We are thrilled to share with you the best and brightest moments from our summer season—a bountiful harvest of inspiring performances that we hope will inspire you to support the Heifetz Institute before we close our financial books for the season at the end of this month.

And to provide a little extra incentive to lend your support, the Gary & Pennie Abramson Foundation will match your donation dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000, to make this truly a September—and a season—to remember forever!

2023 was a summer for the ages here in Staunton, as we welcomed 164 students to our campus, from 22 states and 15 countries. We presented a whopping 532 pieces across 57 total concerts, in addition to the 23 outreach events at health care and assisted living facilities, farmers markets, places of worship, and more.

This increased artistic excellence and achievement also comes with an increased price tag: we still have $20,000 to raise by September 30 to ensure that our Heifetz summer of 2023 was among our most successful years ever— both in the concert hall and on the accounting ledger. Your dollar-for-dollar support will help us close that gap!

Over the coming weeks, we’ll share a sampling of the magic from the Heifetz stage—from the expanded chamber music collaborations between students and faculty, to the exploration of lesser-known and underrepresented repertoire, and, of course, the signature solo showcases for which the Heifetz Institute is known around the world (as over 15 million YouTube viewers and 60,000 subscribers can attest!).

So as you savor the sights, sounds, and stories from this past summer, remember that none of this could have been possible without the nearly $300,000 in overall tuition assistance—including 23 full scholarships—we awarded to our students. Each and every dollar you contribute – which now will go twice as far, thanks to this generous match – is a vital investment in the future of this timeless music!
