The Heifetz 25-Year Advent Calendar
Day 16: 2016 - Beethoven's Brilliant String QuintetOvershadowed by the fame of his string quartets and the string quintets of Mozart and Schubert, Beethoven’s quintet is rarely performed, a special treat to encounter. – Earsense

This Beethoven band is lead by our our legendary chamber-music teacher Shmuel Ashkenasi, joined by a quartet of some of the Heifetz Institute’s most prominent students and alumni: violinist Ji-Won Song, violists Andrew Gonzalez and Katharina Kang, and cellist Ben Fried.
