Our four returning Heifetz 2025 students featured in this program —violinists Kitty Amaral and Runa Matsushita, violist Steven Baloue, and cellist Amelia Zitoun—will be taking this show on the road for a series of “Play It Forward” concerts in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. The “Play It Forward” tour will showcase the talents of all four of our performers in solo both scintiallting and soulful, as well as a great chamber work – Dvořák’s radiant Piano Quintet No. 2. A new series of Sunday Matinees at the Forbes Center, the return of free afternoons of chamber music at the iconic Blackfriars Playhouse, and the Junior Division showcases ‘grow up’ into the Heifetz main stage of Francis Auditorium are among the highlights of the 2025 summer season of the our Festival of Concerts.
