A New Year & Renewed Grant Support from the NEA

We’re thrilled to share the news that the Heifetz Institute has received a $20,000 Grants for Arts Projects award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA)! The grant supports the Institute’s renowned Performance & Communication Training, designed to empower performers to perfect their artistry by developing their physical, mental, and emotional range. The program features a specialized faculty of seven leading performers and educators in their fields teaching modules in Voice, Public Speaking, Drama, Movement, Health & Wellness, and Freedom of Expression. Under the umbrella of Performance and Communication Training, students also receive one-on-one mentoring, expanded training in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and a series of Performance Practice Training Sessions focused on productivity, organization, and stress avoidance.

The NEA will award 1,127 Grants for Arts Projects awards nationwide totaling more than $31.8 million as part of the recent announcement of fiscal year 2025 grants. “The NEA is proud to continue our nearly 60 years of supporting the efforts of organizations and artists that help to shape our country’s vibrant arts sector and communities of all types across our nation,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “It is inspiring to see the wide range of creative projects taking place, including the Heifetz Institute.”
