We—Pamela Fox, President Emerita of Mary Baldwin University and Heifetz Board member; Peter Kreeger, former Heifetz Board president and a dedicated member for nearly three decades; and Robin Miller, Staunton historic property developer, community leader and Heifetz Board member—are proud to issue this challenge in recognition of Ben’s twelve years of visionary service as President and CEO. Under his leadership, Heifetz has grown in artistic ambition, scholarship support, national and international visibility, community engagement, and digital reach, all while remaining true to Daniel Heifetz’s founding belief in the communicative power of music.

From the thriving Junior Division and Chamber Music Seminar to more than sixty summer performances, music in schools and healthcare settings, industry-leading livestreams, the Heifetz App, and Heifetz On Air, Ben’s leadership has helped music reach more students, audiences, and communities than ever before.
