Heifetz Ensemble In Residence (HEIR) – The Spring Eternal Concert Series – IX: A Mother’s Day Celebration: Female Composers from the 18th to the 21st Century

May 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

HEIR Session II

We’ll celebrate Mother’s Day with a program devoted exclusively to female composers, ranging from the blind Mozart muse Maria Theresia von Paradis (1759-1824) to the raucous “Strum” by Jessie Montgomery (b. 1981) – a piece called “turbulent, wildly colorful and exploding with life…a handful of American folk melodies tossed into a strong wind, cascading and tumbling joyfully around one another.”

HEIR Session II

We are thrilled to open the curtain and present live concert music once again in Staunton at the The Blackburn Inn & Conference Center’s Great Hall with this safe and socially-distant series.

There are two ways to enjoy the program:

In Person
*Limited Capacity: 50 attendees*
General Admission: $20
“Quartet” (Table for Four): $70

Online
Suggested Donation: $10
