Heifetz Double Bass Studio & Workshop

The Heifetz Double Bass Studio & Workshop will take place at the Heifetz Institute from JULY 25 – AUGUST 7, 2022

The Heifetz Institute will once again welcome double bass students to our summer campus with an intensive two-plus week program led by James Madison University professor Samuel Suggs, the first solo bassist in 36 years to join the roster of Concert Artists Guild winners. Students enrolled in the bass workshop will receive two private lessons per week, a weekly studio-performance class, be assigned to chamber ensembles with other Heifetz students, and participate in all other Heifetz Institute activities, including Performance and Communication Training classes. They will also be the featured performers in the Heifetz Double Bass Showcase concert during the final week.
