Chloé Kiffer

French violinist Chloé Kiffer, a 2014 Heifetz alumna and 2015 and 2016 Artist in Residence , was born to a family of musicians and started playing the violin at the age of six. She has been a top prizewinner in competitions and festivals all around the world. After coming to the United States to continue her studies, Chloé made her Carnegie Hall début in October 2016, performing Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto in D Major.

Besides appearing as an Artist in Residence at the 2016, Chloé was also a chamber music instructor for the inaugural HeifetzPEG program, mentoring and coaching exceptionally gifted young string musicians between the ages of 8 and 13 in string quartet literature.

Chloé has performed as a chamber musician and orchestral soloist in concerts and at festivals all around Europe, as well as Israel, China, Canada, and the United States. She entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris at the age of 14 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance. She went on to earn an Artist Diploma from the Saarland Höchschule für Musik in Germany, and after attending the Manhattan School of Music in New York for study with Pinchas Zukerman and and after attending the Manhattan School of Music in New York for study with Pinchas Zukerman and Heifetz Institute faculty violinst Patinka Kopec, she now studies at Stony Brook University with Emerson Quartet violinist (and Heifetz faculty members) Philip Setzer and Hagai Shaham.

Chloé Kiffer is a teaching artist at the Bard precollege division, Stony Brook University and The Boerum Hill School for International Studies.
