Heifetz on Tour is headed back to Maine. A quintet of performers from the renowned Heifetz International Music Institute will be in MidCoast Maine for a five-day residency May 12-16. Heifetz on Tour was previously in Maine in October 2019. The performers-–violinist Marina Alba Lopez, violinist Carlos Rafael Martínez Arroyo, violist Jiwon Grace Kim, cellist Hun Choi, and pianist Miki Sawada, all alumni or faculty from the Heifetz International Institute, will present school, civic, and outreach events around the MidCoast, including performances at St. Andrews Church in Newcastle on Tuesday, May 14, Grey Havens Inn in Georgetown on May 15, and the historic Robinhood Free Meetinghouse in Georgetown on May 16.
