National Public Radio's "From the Top" returned to New Hampshire for the second year to record a program at the Heifetz International Music Institute on July 8.
Institute students Ben Fried (age 17), cello, Alexi Kenney (age 15), violin, Deberly Kauffman (age 16), viola, Caeli Smith (age 17) violin, Julian Langford (age 17), cello, Alena Merimee (age 16) violin, and Clayton Penrose-Whitmore (age 16), violin, performed with "From the Top" host Christopher O'Riley on piano. NPR will broadcast "From the Top at Heifetz" nationwide from October 5-18, 2009. A second broadcast has been scheduled for March, 2010. To find your local stations and dates, please click here.

National Public Radio’s program From the Top at Heifetz was broadcast nationwide during the week of October 23, 2008 and the week of February 21, 2009.
In July 2008, the Heifetz International Music Institute was delighted to host From the Top for the very first time in New Hampshire. A selection of the Institute’s most gifted students were spotlighted in this taping of Christopher O’Riley’s popular radio show.
