All Heifetz Institute applicants need to send in DVDs OR audition in person.
Three copies of a recent DVD showing two contrasting movements (either from different pieces or from the same piece) of the applicant's choice (one of a virtuosic nature).
Accompaniment is optional. Please list directly on the DVD's cover your name, the name of the composer(s) and title of works performed on the recording.
• Call the office at 410-480-8007 to schedule an audition time.
• Audition times are set in 10 minute blocks throughout the day.
• Prepare two contrasting movements either from different pieces or from the same piece of your choice (one of a virtuosic nature).
• A pianist is not provided for auditions and is not required.
• Plan to arrive early to your scheduled audition time in order to allow time for traffic, parking, and warming up.
• All application matierials, including the $75 non-refundable application fee, must be submitted before attending live auditions.
• If you are going to audition in person, you do NOT need to send DVDs to the Heifetz Institute.
